Eduarda Bérgamo

Eduarda Bérgamo has been working in the tax area, with experience in judicial and administrative litigation, tax consultancy and customs taxation, in addition to experience in port civil litigation.

Her career includes drafting procedural documents and legal reports, conducting case-law and doctrinal research, and strategically monitoring matters involving direct and indirect taxes. She also has experience with foreign trade, special customs regimes and taxation on import transactions.

Eduarda Bérgamo is a Law student at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and dedicates herself to academic and professional development in Tax Law, with a special interest in customs taxation, foreign trade and Petroleum Law. Participates in study groups and specialized events focused on current topics in the tax area.

Experience

Expertise in tax litigation and consultancy, as well as port civil litigation, including:

  • Support in the preparation of procedural documents in the judicial and administrative sphere, including memorials, counterarguments, motions for clarification, objections and appeals.
  • Jurisprudential and doctrinal research to construct theses, define strategies and monitor relevant topics in higher courts.
  • Preparation of legal reports, technical communications and support materials in Portuguese and English for national and foreign clients.
  • Expertise in topics related to customs taxation, foreign trade, special customs regimes and taxes levied on import operations.
  • Support in port civil demands involving issues such as deunitization, storage, demurrage, contractual obligations and liability arising from port activity.
  • Procedural monitoring, monitoring of trial agendas, control of deadlines, feeding of internal systems and organization of monitoring spreadsheets.
